広大な街は成長し続け、調査されることなく留まっている。地下の住居には、二人の男が同じベッドをシェアしている。リは、夜働き昼寝る。彼のルームメイトのリズムは全く真逆だ。共有する時間は決してなく、そんないっときの住処を形づくっているのだ。そして、それは彼らがすぐに去らなければならない家でもあるのだ。

この映画「From tomorrow on, I will」は、北京の移住労働者の日々のリズムを追い、望みと可能性の間を揺れ動く様子を描く。数百万の中国人が地方から都市へ移住して、よりよい未来を確保することを望んでいる。主人公のリは、変化の見込みがない日常の労働の罠に捕まった自分自身を見つける。彼は、地下のすみかに、一時の住処を見つける、急速に成長する人目に触れない都市が、宙ぶらりんにとどまる。それは、どうやら実体化していないらしい。多くの移住者のように、リは、すぐに順応し、彼に課された容赦ないリズムに身を任せていく。都市の表面は変化し、より新しく, よりモダンになり、彼の手の届く距離から遠くなっていく。この映画はフィクションとドキュメンタリーの要素が混ぜ合わされるのだ：演じられる環境ではなく、素人の役者と共に、リアルな場所として発展する。密に主人公に焦点を当てることを通して、映画は、個人、グループ、急速に変化する都市の建築の間の関係を観察するのだ。

イヴァン・マルコビッチ
ユーゴスラビア、ベルグラード生まれの映画監督／撮影監督。2012年にベルグラードの映画学校のドラマ芸術学科撮影コースを卒業。2019年にベルリン芸術大学の修士号を取得。2015年、ベルリン映画祭のベルリナーレタレントに参加。最近は、Dane Komljen監督の映画“All the cities of the north”、Ivan Salatić監督の映画“You have the night”、Angela Schanelecの映画 “Ich war zuhause, aber” (2019年のベルリン国際映画祭で銀熊賞を受賞)に撮影監督として参加。

リンフェン・ウ

Ivan Marković
Ivan Marković is a director and cinematographer born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. He graduated in cinematography from the Faculty of Drama Arts in Belgrade in 2012 and received a master’s degree in film from the University of Arts Berlin in 2019. He received “Erste Foundation” Award for best visual artist in 2014 and took part of “Berlinale talents” in 2015. Recently, he worked as a cinematographer on several features including “All the cities of the north” by Dane Komljen, “You have the night” by Ivan Salatić and “Ich war zuhause, aber” by Angela Schanelec, which won the Silver Bear at Berlinale 2019.
“White Bird”, which he shot and co-directed with Linfeng Wu, had its premiere on Berlinale Shorts 2016. In 2018, his experimental documentary film “Centar” had its premiere on Doclisboa Film festival. “From tomorrow on, I will”, a feature film he shot and co-directed with Linfeng Wu, had its premiere on Berlinale Forum 2019 and received the Grand prize at 2019 Jeonju International Film festival. He lives and works between Belgrade and Berlin.
Linfeng Wu
Born in 08-08-1989, Hunan, China. Studied in the US for high school. Graduated in Film Directing, Lasalle College of the Art, Singapore (2009-2013). His short films were shown in several international festivals. In 2013, he moved to Beijing, and started his film production company. In 2016, directed short film “White Bird”, selected by 66th
Berlinale Film Festival.
